COVID-19 Vaccination Service Update 17th May 2021

The COVID-19 Vaccination Service at Epsom racecourse has now ended.

The new local vaccination service is planned to be operational at Leatherhead Hospital Clinical Decision Unit from Tuesday 18th May.

GP Health Partners will be offering limited COVID-19 vaccinations, by appointment only, from the Clinical Decision Unit at Leatherhead Hospital at the following times for the foreseeable future:

  • Mon-Friday 4.00pm– 8.30pm
  • Saturday 8.30am – 6.30pm
  • Sunday 8.30am – 6.30pm

There will be volunteers on site directing patients. Patients should not enter the hospital main entrance and should instead follow the signs to the CDU. There is parking available on site.

GP Health Partners will not initially be receiving vaccine allocation for patients who require a first dose Pfizer vaccine. They will only be vaccinating those patients requiring second doses of both Pfizer and Astra Zeneca who GPHP originally vaccinated.

The updated guidance from JCVI is that all patients under 40 should be offered an alternative to the Astra Zeneca vaccine. Therefore, the national booking system will automatically offer appointments with a suitable alternative vaccine so if you are in this category, please call 119, or go to the website www.nhs.uk/book-coronavirus-vaccination. This also includes pregnant patients.

Please remember:

Unless you have been invited before, please don’t contact the NHS including your GP to seek a vaccine, we will contact you when it is the right time.

Please attend your booked appointments at exactly the time you’re asked to, and make sure you come back for your second dose when you are invited.

And whether you have had your vaccine or not, please continue to follow all the guidance in place to control the virus and save lives.
